Data Literacy and Artificial Intelligence
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of data literacy and artificial intelligence (AI), with emphasis on understanding, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating data in an effective and responsible manner. Students learn how data and AI can be used to support problem-solving, decision-making, and innovation across various fields.
Course Content
The course covers fundamental concepts of data literacy, including data types, data collection, data quality, data organization, exploratory data analysis, visualization, interpretation, and data-driven decision-making. It also introduces the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, and their applications in various domains. Topics include basic AI workflows, model concepts, data preparation, evaluation, ethical considerations, bias, privacy, and responsible use of AI. Students also explore the integration of data literacy and AI tools to solve practical problems and communicate data-driven insights effectively.
